BWITI MUSIC - Sounds of the moungongo of the Bwiti missoko

Many spiritual tools are used in the Bwiti tradition, not just plant medicine.

One of the primary tools is the sacred harp. In the Bwiti Fang, the harp (ngombi) has eight strings. In the Bwiti Missoko, the harp (moungongo) has one string.

The harp (moungongo) is a backbone, a kind of DNA of the ceremony. It connects with primordial rhythm: the rhythm of the Big Bang (vibration and sound).

Part of the purpose of the rhythm of the moungongo is to help you connect with your own rhythm in your life and those around you.

If you’re not in harmony with yourself how can you be in harmony with those around you?

This music of the moungongo is a heartbeat, it's pure aliveness, Life. When you contact this rhythm, you contact Life itself. And then you can really travel...

Last time we shared with you the music from the Bwiti Fang. Now we're please to share with you the music of the moungongo, the one-stringed harp of the Bwiti Missoko.

If you’re interested in getting initiated in either the Bwiti Missoko or Bwiti Fang, please see upcoming dates here. Please book a call with us if you have any questions at all (free, no obligation).
